Common name: Perennial Scabious, Pincushion Flower

First-year flowering perennial. 

This is an excellent variety for the garden and for cut flower production. White flowers are held on long straight stems above the foliage, and once established this variety will bloom consistently from late-May to September. Can be grown under protected conditions. 

Sow Feb-Apr for flowers later the same year; sow Aug-Sept to overwinter for flowers the following year. Sowing temp 18-21°C. Germination in 10-18 days in optimum conditions. 

Cut as soon as colour can be seen and petals begin to unfurl from the bud, or once the flower is open (but before the stamens fully emerge). Place straight into water and move to a cool place; no special conditioning required.
