Common name: Corncockle

Untreated seed; packed by volume so seed quantity is approximate. Available in three pack sizes: 

Gardener packet 0.5g (80 seeds); Grower packet 5g (800 seeds); Grower plus 10g (1600 seeds).

Hardy annual. 

This white variety of corncockle produces large white blooms - it is in high demand for wedding flowers!

Sow Feb-May or Aug-Sept to overwinter for flowers the following year. Sowing temp 15-18°C; germination between 5-10 days in optimum conditions. Sow in succession for continuous harvest May-Sep. 

Cut as soon as the buds are fully coloured (pencil stage) and the petals begin to unfurl, or once the flower is open (but before the stamens fully emerge). Place straight into water and move to a cool place; no special conditioning required.

Vase life: 6-8 days
