Untreated seed; packed by volume so seed quantity is approximate. Available in two pack sizes:

Hardy annual. DTM 70-80.

Annual Clary Sage is a versatile filler flower that is easy to grow. This variety is valued for its coloured bracts rather than the flowers themselves; the bright fuchsia-pink bracts add a fun, textural element to summer arrangements. 

Sow Feb-May or Aug-Sept to overwinter for flowers the following year. Sowing temp 15-18°C. Cover sparingly as light aids germination which takes 7-14 days in optimum conditions. Plant out into a position in full sun for the best colour.

Cut when the bracts are fully coloured and place straight into water and move to a cool place; no special conditioning required. If cutting for drying, wait until the stems have hardened (try the wiggle test to make sure they are fully rigid before cutting). Bunch and hand upside down to dry in a dark place to retain the best colour.
