Untreated, British-grown seed; packed by volume so seed quantity is approximate. Available in two pack sizes:

Half hardy annual. DTM 70-80.

Starlight Dancer is a hybrid variety of nicotiana, producing lots of fragrant miniature blooms along delicate stems through late summer and autumn. The flowers are white with a lime-green hue and it is a great plant for pollinators in the garden. A novel cut flower variety, the stems can be a little sticky but they add movement and a delicate lightness to vase arrangements. Like all nicotiana, the blooms release scent in the evening.

Sow under cover four weeks before your last frost date; sow outside after the risk of frost has passed. Sowing temp 21-24°C; germination between 7-14 days in optimum conditions. Surface sow the tiny seeds as light is required for germination. Pinch to encourage branching.

Cut when 30% of the flowers along the stem are open. Place immediately into water and allow the stems to hydrate fully overnight before use. Nicotiana are known to be 'dirty stems' which foul water rapidly, so change the water frequently to prolong vase life.
