Untreated seed; packed by volume so seed quantity is approximate. Available in two pack sizes: 

Gardener packet 0.5g (175 seeds); Grower packet 2.0g (700 seeds).

Half hardy annual. DTM 110-120 days

Statice is an invaluable summer filler flower; long-lasting in the vase and an excellent dried flower. It's very attractive to pollinators too - especially to butterflies!

Sow under cover six weeks before your last frost date; cover sparingly as light aids germination. Sowing temp 18-21°C; germination between 5-14 days in optimum conditions. Do not pinch. 

Cut when 50-75% of the flower head is open; stems cut in bud will not hydrate properly. Place immediately into water; no special conditioning required. If drying, strip away any green leaves from the stem and hang upside down to dry. 

Vase life: 14 days fresh; will last indefinitely if dried.
