Typically a biennial flower, the Big Ben series of Campanula can be grown in succession throughout the season as an annual crop. It can also be overwintered for an earlier harvest the following year, and is suitable for production outside as well as under protected conditions.
Sow from Feb onwards in succession and do not cover seed as light aids germination. Sowing temp 18-21°C; germination between 7-14 days in optimum conditions.
Cut when the first 2-3 buds begin to open on the stem. Ensure that the stems remain upright in water otherwise they will bend.
Vase life: 7-10 days
