The Toulon series (similar to the Potomac series) are Group IV-V snapdragons which are best suited for growing in higher temperatures and under higher light intensity. They are the perfect choice for summer and early autumn production. White flowers are always in demand for wedding floristry, and this late-blooming variety will provide armfuls of high-quality white-coloured snaps for summer and autumn arrangements.
Sow Feb-June for flowers June-Oct. Sowing temp 21-24°C. Do not cover as light aids germination which takes 7-21 days in optimum conditions. Seed to transplant could take 8-12 weeks. Can be pinched, or plant at a closer spacing for single stem blooms. Grow outside or in a protected environment.
Cut when 30-50% of the blooms on the spike have opened. Place immediately into water in a cool position. Make sure that stems remain upright otherwise they will bend towards the light.
Vase life: 7-10 days
